Ride to New Hampshire and Maine Aug 2006

Trip started Tue Aug 15, and ended at home on the evening of the 26th of Aug.  Rode 2950 miles and saw some of the most beautiful scenery imaginable.  Monica and I Rode west to the Blue Ridge then into Harpers Ferry West VA - Great town! Then into MD and PA and NY.  Hit some beautiful places in NY along RT 10 and Rt 9 along some beautiful mountains and farms and lakes.  Then into VT and a stop in Woodstock and then to Queechee Gorge.  Went to NH in the White Mountains and visited with good friends and went to the Boogie in the White Mountains Blues Fest and that was awesome!  Then rode north and east into Maine and rode through some incredible mountains and down to the coast at Bar Harbor.  Maine is unbelievable - the only state on the east coast where the Mountains meet the ocean.  Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor and Camden and Boothbay Harbor and Old Orchard Beach are incredible.  Rode the coast south until towns got bigger and traffic got bad - so it was time to head west to the mountains and then head south.  It was the trip of a lifetime!
